Trever: How do you find podcasts that accept guests? So there’s going to be a couple of different ways that you can go about this, but the reason that you want to find podcasts that accept guests is because in order to be reaching out to shows that don’t accept guests, and you’re gonna be wasting your time. While yes, the good majority of the podcasts out there, they do accept podcast guests. There are the few that only have solo episodes. And you don’t wanna be wasting your time reaching out to these shows. You only want to be reaching out to shows that do accept podcast guests. So there’s a couple different ways that you can go about this. One, you can go on itunes and literally just like type in the niche of your show. So you could go through and you could type in real estate investing. It’s going to give you a list of all the real estate podcasts, and then you can click on it and you’ll go. You click on the podcast and you’ll see, you know, whether or not they have the guest. By having the guest and the name of the podcast, sometimes you can go over and you don’t see the name of a guest in the title of the podcast. But you’ll want to click through and just be sure that the podcast, in fact does have guests on the or does. We want to make sure that the podcast does, in fact, not have guests on the show. Because sometimes I found that they don’t put the title, they don’t include the guest name and the title of the episode, but they do, in fact have guests on their show. So I just want to go ahead and I want to confirm that another tool that you can use is raphonic. We personally use Raphonic as a company. And by using morphonic, you can search for podcasts. And when you’re searching for podcasts, you can select a box that says, does this podcast have guests or interviews? You select? Yes, and it’s not foolproof. I have seen podcasts that do get approved through that process. But again, the good majority of them are going to be helpful and just save some of the time on my end. And then the last step would be, would be going to the podcast website itself because I find that I always want to vet the show. Just taking that additional step one, because a lot of the times these podcasts, they find, yes, they have guests, but are they currently accepting guests? Am I going to be pitching them? Am I going to be filling out a guest intake form? So if you’re just going out there and you’re just pitching them, you want to make sure that they are in fact accepting guests. So I go to their website, usually they’ll have like a podcast section. If it’s a good quality podcast, I’ll click over to it. See, sometimes they might have a form and I’ll just fill out the form and then submit it. Sometimes I might say we are not currently accepting guests. Sometimes it might say we are currently accepting guests in X, Y and Z niches. So that way you can be sure that that’s the podcast. To find guests, to make sure that the podcast you are going on is going to be accepting you, they’re accepting podcast guests. Make sure that you’re not wasting your time. And again, it’s a pretty simple process. It’s going to be a quick video today for everyone watching a quick listen of the podcast episode. For those listening, it’s a pretty quick process. You just go through, oh, they have a guest. Oh, nope, they don’t have a guest. You find the gray area that comes into it is when you have a podcast that’s, you know, for every podcast, maybe they have ten podcasts out in the last ten weeks. Nine out of ten is them, one out of the ten is going to be a guest. So what do you do? I typically want to say at least 30 of the episodes to be podcast guests. So if they’ve had ten episodes out in the last ten weeks, at least three of those ten episodes are going to be having a podcast guest and the other seven are just solo episodes. When I find that there’s two out of ten, and it doesn’t have to be a magic number, but I find that those podcasts are more likely that it’s a friend coming on, it’s an acquaintance coming on. They’re not looking for people to be pitch, be pitching themselves to the podcast. But once you start to get into that 30% and up number, then you’re gonna have that confidence that yes, they are in fact looking for podcast guests. But I hope this video was helpful for those watching and was helpful for those listening on our podcast today.
